Amidst the lotus pond of my heart

A mellifluous melody rings.

The lyrics liken sun-washed flow of crystalised elixir.

At an unknown depth of mind alone you stand

Oh goddess of learning with the veena in hand.

For the joyous tide day and night cuckooing ring far and wide.

Honeybees rush to the lotus to greet,

Devotees in drove bow at your feet.

Not staying cloistered in a few minds, shrouded in an illusory pall

Oh Devi, emerge in this light revealing yourself to all.
