purno pranay chabar jaha - Equality of Love

Desired profoundly, she ought not to be sought empty handed

I should not go lounging wet-eyed at her doorstep.

When the jewelled garland is brought – it must be exchanged.

Will you place your queen’s throne by the dusty wayside?

Will you gather dried dusty flowers to greet your beloved

On a scorching summer day, from scruffy groves?

Receive your love with equal pride and grace

Only then will the dark night be lit by a thousand flames.
